I am certified Anusara® Yoga Teacher and have been teaching Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation since 1995. I have offered classes and workshops at the Bronxville Field Club, the Harlem Yacht Club, the Yoga Loft at the Bedford Post Inn, the Pelham Jewish Center, the Bartow-Pell Museum, and various other yoga studios in Westchester, Manhattan, East Hampton, and New Jersey. In addition, I teach private classes for people who prefer to practice one-on-one and also for individuals with special needs.
My classes include a strong focus on optimal alignment, mindfulness, clear intention and fun. I always say, "I have never regretted any time I've spent on my mat!" It's a joy for me to share my love of the practices and my love of teaching. It's my goal to make yoga accessible and useful for all. I am dedicated to offering well-balanced asana sequences with clear instruction, insightful contemplations and a formal meditation in each class. I encourage and guide each student to discover their own strengths and abilities in a safe and nurturing environment.
I hold a BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase, NY and a Masters Degree in Media Studies from the New School for Social Research in NYC.
Two things you may not know about me are:
I love to dance Salsa! And I love to sing!
I sing with the Kirtan group “Tejase.”
